The parkDC application allows users to identify and navigate to on-street and off-street parking areas in Washington, DC. Users can search for parking spaces based on price and/or time period filters. Additionally, the application provides real-time parking availability and rate information for the Penn Quarter and Chinatown neighborhoods, within the area bordered by H Street, 3rd Street, E Street, and 11th Street NW.

parkDC's primary objective is to streamline the process of finding parking spots, enhance the turnover of high-demand parking spaces, offer comprehensive parking information to drivers, and ultimately alleviate traffic congestion.

The application features color-coded indications of available on-street parking on specific blocks ranging from limited availability (red = 0-2 spaces) to abundant availability (green = 5+ spaces). Users have access to real-time pricing details that vary by block and time of day within the specified area. Furthermore, parkDC displays the locations and hourly rates of off-street parking facilities in the vicinity and integrates with navigation apps to guide users to preferred on-street or off-street parking spots.

parkDC also includes a feature that allows users to filter and search for Red Top Parking Meters, designated on-street parking spots for individuals with disabilities.
